Choosing Software for Your Electrostimulation Studio: What Really Matters
An EMS studio isn’t managed like a traditional gym. Sessions last 20 to 25 minutes, are almost always one-on-one or in very small groups, and require specialized equipment that can’t be shared. This results in three constraints, which general-purpose software struggles to manage.
A schedule dictated by the machine, not just by the coach. Your time slots depend on the number of available machines as much as on your own availability. The booking module must therefore think in terms of resources, not just a calendar—otherwise, you’ll end up with overbookings on the same day.
A short format that makes tracking progress difficult. Twenty minutes doesn’t leave enough time to review nutrition or progress. What happens between sessions—meal plans, progress photos, check-ins—matters just as much as the session itself. That’s where a studio builds loyalty—or loses its clients after three months.
A high average basket size that calls for recurring business. EMS sessions are sold at a high price per session. Without a membership or package, the studio starts from scratch every month. Managing recurring payments and credits isn’t just an administrative convenience—it’s what stabilizes revenue.
